Project Overview

The construction of the Zayed Road Network in the Mina Zayed Area 01 Main Tunnel in Abu Dhabi is a critical infrastructure project aimed at improving transportation connectivity and efficiency.

The circular design of the tunnel required reinforcement capable of withstanding a combination of moment and shear loads.

To ensure structural integrity and longevity, the project team selected glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebar, Mateenbar60™, for its high tensile strength, durability, and corrosion-resistant properties.
